2. Important Notes

Plato IDE
Both compilers come with a graphical integrated development environment (IDE) called Plato, in addition to the command-line interface. Most users will find the Plato interface powerful and easy to use. However, we have found serious bugs in some versions of Plato and are therefore unwilling to recommend its use. In particular, some versions of Plato report successful compilation of source files when in fact compilation has failed!

Linking with the NAg libraries
The Salford FTN95 compiler will not link to the NAg F90 numerical libraries. If you wish to use these libraries use the Salford FTN90 compiler. (Both compilers successfully link to the NAg F77 libraries.)
