Fortran Compilers on Unix

Information Systems Department

This documentation describes the Fortran compilers supported by ISD at UMIST on supported Unix platforms --- Solaris and Linux.

Some related information is also included: using the make utility with Fortran 90/95; problems with the Sun Workshop 5.0 compilers and also with the dbx debugger; and some pointers to free Fortran compilers which may prove useful (and those for the F language).
